Winter is a tough time for your skin. The cold, dry air outside and the hot, dry air inside can strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it feeling dry, tight and flaky. To keep your skin looking and feeling its best this winter, it’s important to take good care of it.

Here are four products that I swear by during the colder months

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

This classic product has been a staple in many people’s skincare routines for decades. It’s a versatile, multi-purpose cream that can be used to moisturise, protect and soothe dry, rough skin. It’s especially effective at helping to heal chapped lips, rough cuticles and dry patches on the face, hands and feet. You can also use it on cuticles, brows and lashes. It’s a truly multi use product and is such a great barrier for cold, windy weather!

Mavala Snow Mask

This creamy mask is specifically formulated to nourish and hydrate dry, winter skin. It’s made with a blend of natural ingredients, it deeply moisturises and protects the skin. It’s also perfect for those with sensitive skin, especially during the cold winter months. I bought this from a pharmacy in Paris last December, when I was really struggling with dryness around my nose and a few other places on my skin. I hadn’t particularly thought I suffered from changes in the weather before, but I have in recent years and I loved this mask and will be smothering myself in it this year too!

Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm

Your lips need extra TLC in the winter, and this balm delivers. It’s made with a blend of nourishing oils which moisturise and protect the delicate skin on your lips. It’s one of my favourites because of the formulation and results, but also the packaging. Being a thicker sized stick, you can apply it so easily and it lasts for ages.

Westmann Atelier Liquid Lip Balm

If you’re looking for a lip balm with a little more glam, this is the one. It’s a lightweight, liquid balm that glides on smoothly and provides long-lasting hydration. I love the formulation. It’s light on the lips but is also thick enough to offer great coverage and protection from the elements, while leaving a wash of colour which adds a little something to a no make up look. Stupidly I left mine at the spa last December, just when I needed it the most! I re-ordered it as soon as I realised though as it’s a truly gorgeous product from the lip balm itself to the weighty and sleek packaging.

With these four products in your beauty bag this season, you’ll be well equipped to combat dry, winter skin. Whether you need a deep moisturising mask, a rich balm for your lips or a lightweight liquid balm to keep on hand, there’s something here for everyone. So don’t let dry, winter skin get you down – stock up on these products and thank me later!
