Frequently Asked Questions
Most frequent questions and answers
What personal styling services do you offer?
I offer colour analysis, body shape analysis, style personality assessment, outfit guides and a number of bespoke services too. If you have any special requirements please message me and I would love to chat with you.
What is colour analysis?
Colour analysis will assess what seasonal colour palette you fall into – I use the 12 seasonal approach, so I will create a document for you to understand what colours work for you, which colours to avoid, how to use that colour in your wardrobe, and I can also let you know whether gold or silver jewellery are better for you, and give you some colour guidance for make up too. It’s a handy document you can refer to if you need to double check colours when clearing out your current wardrobe and for when buying new items too!
What is body shape analysis?
Body shape analysis will tell you your body shape, and what items work for you and are to be avoided. It’s a good way to learn some basic principles that will make it easier to accentuate your best features.
What is style personality?
Style personality will help you to understand the type of person you are when it comes to style. These are things like classic style, natural style, urban casual style etc. This will then help you to create a recognisable and cohesive style and it will allow your wardrobe to work well together and give you some go-to looks within this specific style.
What are outfit guides?
The outfit guides are great as I can put together ten outfits (if you have any events or specific trips/days out/special occasions coming up I can cover these too), and if you have already done colour, body shape and/or style personality then I will use the results of this within the guide too.
How does the personal styling process work?
Depending on the styling session you choose, each process is slightly different. There will be some requirements which include sending me some photos, answering questions and providing specific information about yourself. This varies between person, request and service, and I’m happy to answer any questions ahead of purchasing.
How do I book a styling session?
You can book online via my website, or if you would like a separate invoice drawn up then contact me and I can do this for you.
Can you work with a specific budget or wardrobe preferences?
Absolutely. If I’m creating outfit guides for you or mood boarding for an occasion, I will go through your budget with you ahead of time and ensure it fits your brief.
How long does a styling session typically last?
Once you’ve submitted the requirements, I am to get colour, body shape and style personality to you within a couple of days. Outfit guides can take longer as the research element can be time consuming, so I am to get these to you within a week.
Do you work with clients of all ages?
Absolutely! Age has no reflection on style and we should feel fab about ourselves, our bodies, and our styles at every stage in life.
Can I see examples of your work with clients?
You absolutely can. I have testimonials and two case studies which go into deeper detail about what the sessions are like and the results my clients experienced.
As you can imagine, most of the work we do is personal to that individual, and clients don’t want to share their personal photos, so I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, but I urge you to visit the case studies as they are the most in depth accounts of what a session is like.
Can you offer your services for special occasions or events?
Of course! If you have an upcoming occasion or event, you can go ahead and order an outfit guide, and these will be made bespoke to you and your needs, or alternatively contact me if it’s just one specific occasion you are looking to dress for and I can tailor a specific outfit or mood board some options for you.
Can I work with you outside of the UK?
Yes! I work with women all over the world, and have loved getting to know so many different women with varying lifestyles, cultures, ethnicities and style preferences. It’s been the best thing for my growth as a personal stylist to work with such a diverse range of women and I’m so grateful to be able to do so.
What sets your personal styling services apart from others?
As a qualified personal stylist with a degree in Psychology, I have a broad and deep understanding of not only clothing and style, but the impact this has on how we think and feel.
I can not only make you look great, but feel amazing too, and this is probably the most important part!
What are your qualifications?
I have a degree in Psychology, graduating from The University of the West of England in Bristol, and am a Qualified Personal Stylist graduating from The London College of Style in London.
Where are you based?
I’m originally from Surrey, just outside of London, but am living in the vibrant and diverse city of Bristol in the UK.
